At Shadow Hills Riding Club Summer Camp, every day is an adventure! Campers do more than just ride—they build confidence, make new friends, and learn to care for horses, farm animals, and the world around them. Through hands-on horsemanship, nature-based activities, and exciting challenges, they grow both in and out of the saddle.
Beyond riding, campers explore horticulture by learning about plants, gardening, and how nature supports farm life. They’ll get hands-on with farm animals, help care for the land, and discover the connection between animals, plants, and people. Whether they’re painting ponies, planting in the garden, or proudly holding up their achievements, our campers leave with unforgettable memories, new skills, and a deeper love for nature and horses!

MRS. LISA
Mrs. Lisa has been working with horses for over 55 years, starting at age 8. She has won numerous championships in various riding styles, including English, Western, and Saddle Seat. As a professional for 45 years, she has trained horses and students, earning awards and qualifications for major competitions. Currently, she teaches therapeutic and regular riding lessons and leads our Horse Summer Camp.
At camp, Mrs. Lisa focuses on building riding skills and teaching kindness and compassion toward animals. She ensures a safe environment by reviewing rules like no running or screaming on the first day. Beyond horses, our camp features pigs, sheep, goats, chickens, donkeys, a miniature horse, and a tortoise.
Fun facts: Mrs. Lisa loves horses and orca whales, enjoys the movies “Secretariat” and all “Star Wars” films, favors the color pink, and can gallop and jump like a horse on all fours. Plus, she provides popsicles every day at camp!
Camp Director & Lead Instructor
Mr. Johnny has been managing what is now Silver Inspiration Ranch for the past 46 years. His passion for horses started when he received his first horse as a Christmas gift at just nine years old. Over the years, he competed in Western disciplines, hunt seat, and dressage, winning countless championships along the way.
His favorite horse of all time? Silver Inspiration.
Mr. Johnny loves teaching because it’s about more than just riding—it’s about helping riders grow intellectually and spiritually. He finds it deeply rewarding to see students gain confidence and build connections with horses.
At camp, he ensures learning is fun while making lifelong memories. Unlike a typical babysitting camp, Silver Inspiration Ranch offers hands-on experiences with horses, farm animals, plants, and new friends.
Fun fact: Before dedicating his life to horses, Mr. Johnny was an actor and dancer. His favorite dance style? Line dancing!
